After won the sales champion on both mobile phones and smart TV in India during Diwali, Xiaomi just hit a new sales record during “Double 12”, the Chinese online shopping festival on December 12th. Except for Xiaomi’s self-owned mall, Xiaomi had an outstanding performance on all top three major e-commerce platforms: JD.com, Tmall, and Suning.
According to a third-part report, During “Double 12”, on the JD platform, Xiaomi TV ranked No. 1 sales in the JD TV category. The new-released Redmi 13 full-screen smartphone won the JD New Product Sales Champion. Xiaomi Notebook Air 12.5-inch also won the JD 12-inch thin & light laptop sales champion. At the same time, both the Mi Water Purifier and the Mi Air Purifier won the category sales in JD.
As to Tmall, Redmi K30 4G won the sales champion of Tmall mobile phone in its price range; Xiaomi TV is the sales champion of the Tmall TV brand flagship store. Xiaomi TV 4S 75-inch won the Tmall TV category single product sales champion. Moreover, Xiaomi Smart Door Lock Standard Edition won the Tmall electronic door lock category single product sales championship.
On the Suning platform, the Redmi 7A became the sales champion of mobile phones under 1,000 yuan in Suning Tesco; Mi Band 4 won the Suning Tesco ’s smart band sales champion. Xiaomi TV ranks the top five in terms of the Suning TV category. Xiaomi Water Purifier 1A won the single product sales champion of the Suning Water Purifier category.
With significant performance in sales, Xiaomi’s stock has also risen by nearly 30% in just one week.
The global penetration will keep growing at the same time. During “Double 12”, Xiaomi also wins the number one smartphone sales in different categories on Shopee, the online merchant platform in Southeast Asia. Recently Xiaomi launched Mi Note 10 in Japan and Spain. It is ready to launch Redmi 9 early 2020 in India, which will hit the top in the market.
